The problem it solves
VeilBridge solves the privacy problem in cross-chain transfers. While other bridges expose all your transaction details, VeilBridge ensures your bridged tokens arrive as private transfers, protecting your financial privacy. It’s a simple, secure way to move assets between other chains and Miden networks
Challenges we ran into
Zcash Integration Challenge
Initially planned to integrate Zcash as a second bridging option, but faced several hurdles:
- Verification Complexity: Verifying shielded Zcash transactions required running a full node or third-party APIs
- Time Constraints: Limited hackathon time meant choosing quality over quantity
Decision: Prioritized building a solid Starknet ↔ Miden bridge first, added “Zcash Coming Soon” section for future roadmap. This allowed delivering a high-quality working product while maintaining the multi-chain vision for v2.
